New Yorker Marvelous Milestone

Amazingly 2003
is the year we turn 60!!! (Altho a few of you
turned 60 in the last few months of 2002). We thought we should
all get together to celebrate this Marvelous Milestone, share some
Birthday cake, swap some stories, give some hugs, and be happy to see
each other! We will meet at Westwood Park on Saturday, May 17th from 1 PM til 6 PM. We reserved an area that is on the Veteran side of the park (actually at the southeast corner of the park), a short distance north of Ohio. Westwood Park is easily accessible from the 405 freeway. Get off at Wilshire Blvd. and head east (towards the Village). The park is behind the federal building that is at the corner of Veteran Avenue and Wilshire Blvd, it stretches from Sepulveda to Veteran. There is a large parking lot on the Sepulveda Blvd side of the park, a small parking lot on the Veteran Avenue side of the park (adjacent to the area we reserved), and some street parking available on Veteran Avenue. Dress will be casual but please feel free to wear period costumes and bring memorabilia, drive old cars, etc. Based upon our last picnic, it's probably best to leave the pets at home. Please e-mail me back and let me know if you will be able to come, or probably will be able to come. We will supply water and soft drinks. |
